Goodbyyye, lovve. Goodbye, loooove. Just came to say. Goodbyye, love. Goodbye. Just came to say...
My post has nothing to do with this. Especially since no one in my book has rent or drug addiction problems. I'm not sure if there's enough romance in my book, maybe people won't like it *whimper like a lost puppy* So really, I'm not saying goodbye to love... I probably need to say hello and chuck some love scenes into that crap.
Is romance a necessity for YA readers? Does it matter? And does quasi-romance, attraction, and sensuality make up for the fact that I don't have a supposedly cute, obsessed, and improbable teen couple taking center stage? Or is the lack of forced romance more like a breath of fresh air?
Just wondering.

On abuse and the men who dish it out
People are going to love Boris, because they love Edward Cullen and he's just as abusive and controlling to his woman. Perhaps it's not physical on Edward's part, but there are other ways to dominate people. I for one find that scary. He needs to get his butt kicked pretty soon or I'll assume there's no justice in the world.
Boris has human-punching-bag syndrome and Edward Cullen is a selfish douche. Strangely, neither one of those traits is more destructive than the other.
Why is it that ladies these days like to be abused? Either we are a sick minded breed or we just don't know any better. Or maybe we just don't know how to deal with it. It's in a guy's nature to dominate, and they need to regulate that so that it doesn't get out of hand. But we need to be smart enough not to put up with it. There's always a way out, no matter what people say.
You may not want to handle it the way Fay did, though. Don't want to get yourself arrested.
Uh... ok. Public Service Announcement over.

I told you I would post it!
This took like... two minutes to draw. No effort at all. Yes, I took the pictures with my camera, so they look crappy. Yes, they have mitten hands. Yes, it's probably the worst art anyone has ever seen. But I had fun doing it, anyway. Captions are below the pictures if you can't read my print. Please do enjoy The Adventures of Fay and Hellboy.
(HB:"How is anyone supposed to read this tiny type?"
Fay:"Put your bifocals on.")
(HB:"What bifocals?"
Fay:"The ones on top of your head.")
(HB:"Those are my horn stubs."
Fay:"They look like bifocals to me.")
Stupidity reigns supreme!!!

I figured out the PDF thingy
So, here it is, the moment the world has Penguin that dude with we've all I've been waiting for! Yay! Chapter 1, play-ahs! If you still don't support my quest after reading that then I shall have to retire to become the most inadequate teacher there's ever been... yeah, that's plan B. Let's stick with plan A for a while, huh?

Sooo . . . we've talked a lot about the boys
And don't get me wrong! they're great guys, let me tell ya. But we haven't talked much about the girls. Who's your favorite?
So Fay's pretty awesome. She's got attitude and a good amount of heart. But . . . I think my favorite (uhh did I say this before?) is Brina. xD I don't know why! I don't know that much about her as of yet but she's totally awesome.
I suppose I'll have to wait till Monday to get more feedback on this question . . . :/ But isn't it exciting?? Monday the first chapter might be posted (or so it's been said . . . ? ).

Cover the children's eyes! It's too gruesome!
What do you when you're finished with your work and suddenly become disgusted with it? Like, I'm thinking of adding a couple of scenes... but it's already finished! But I want those scenes! But it's already finished! But those scenes would reveal so much good character arcs! But it's already finished!
Crap!
Do you see my dilemma? I can either spring for extra awesomeness, or leave it as is. On the one hand I feel like it's unfinished (even though it is), but on the other I'm a bit of perfectionist, and maybe I'll never feel that it's finished... and I'll be writing forever! I could reveal those arcs in the next book... but I don't want it to feel like an info dump. What to do?
*deep breath*
Ok. The children are free to look now. The horror has passed.
On a less melodramatic note, chapter 1 will make an appearance around monday, since I'll be away all weekend without a computer. Stay tuned.

You tell me
(stolen from Nathan Bransford, of course, cuz he’s my boy… uh… in my mind, anyway)
What would you do if you were part demon? That’s kind of a broad topic, but that means your answers can be broad too. Hell’s the limit (as opposed to the sky *stupid laughter ensues*)
